There is nothing like a morning run to start your day feeling fresh and healthy! The air is cleaner the streets are safer and quieter, it’s just you the road and the sky! Here are some tips

1) Warm up gently to avoid injury, your muscles will have been unmoved all night.

2) High intensity workouts can knock your immune system in the morning so keep it steady and avoid if your under par

3) It will switch your energy metabolising systems which will boost your metabolic rate through the day helping you loose weight but don’t forget to eat right after to avoid crashing

4) If you are prone to gastric upsets from running then running before food may help

5) To avoid dehydration make sure you are hydrated before bed and keep a drink by your bed for when you awake then drink again afterwards

6) Keep snacking through the day to keep your cortisol levels stable and avoid the ‘crash’ that some morning exercisers get
